Setting up the Myzone Integration and sharing with multiple facilities

Myzone is an innovative wearable heart rate based system that uses wireless and cloud technology to accurately and conveniently monitor physical activity. You are able to integrate your live stream platform with Myzone, enabling your Myzone registered members to participate via MZ-Remote, accessing the live stream and their live fitness stats at the same time.

Myzone can be used alongside regular Zoom integration, and both Myzone users and non-Myzone users can join your live stream classes.

Setup required on your Virtual Studio Platform

It's a few simple steps to get Myzone integrated with your live stream platform.

Step 1. Get your activity timetable set up on your live stream platform

Step 2. Complete setup of the Zoom integration

Step 3. Within Zoom we recommend heading to Account>Settings>Security and turning off 'Only authenticated users can join meetings' and 'Only authenticated users can join meetings from Web client' - this means that any users that have a booking will appear in Zoom as the screen name they've entered, but won't be required to log in to Zoom - it's a much more streamlined experience for members to join!

Step 4. Contact Move to request Myzone integration and we will generate a URL for you to visit - enter your Myzone login credentials at this URL which will enable access between platforms. Let us know once we've done that, and we will link your Virtual Studio platform with your Myzone facility.

Step 5. Go into your activity timetable set up and in each activity tick the box that says ‘Myzone Enabled’,  you can also choose to set a Myzone coach for the class - this is optional but means members can easily see who the coach is on the Myzone leaderboard once in the class. Please be aware for this feature to work, your GDPR level within Myzone needs to be level 4. Check out the help guide on how to amend this if needed.

Step 6. Once the previous steps have been completed your timetable will be reflected within your Myzone portal (it can take a few minutes to update), and all Zoom links for users will be showing on both your Virtual Studio platform and Myzone portal. To share your classes with multiple facilities head to the next steps below.

Setup required on your Myzone Portal

Step 1. Sign in your Myzone Owners Portal at myzonemoves.com and head to the drop down menu and select ‘classes’. Select ‘class schedule’ and ‘other’. You will see the activity time slots the integration has created. Click the settings cog on the right hand side of each time slot to open the ‘booking diary options’.

Step 2. On the left hand side you will see ‘Booking Diary Options’ - scroll down to the section that says ‘Share with other facilities’. Ensure this is ticked, and tick all relevant facilities you want to share with. This will mean members who have belts registered with these facilities will still be able to attend the class. You will need to be an owner on Myzone of any facilities that you wish to share to.

Step 3. In the ‘Booking Diary Options’ you can also check the right coach is assigned to the activity, and can set a timer if you’d like to use this in your class. Note that all coaches will need the Coach Permission in ‘Myzone users’.

Step 4. Make sure to save your changes, and ensure you follow these steps for every activity. You will see time slots 3 weeks in advance, so currently you will need to ensure you complete this admin on all new time slots before the day of the class.

How to start a class

Using Myzone enables Myzone users to connect with MZ-Remote, but you can also enable your non-Myzone users to join too.

Step 1. Make sure you're logged into the Zoom account that is the host of the class

Step 2. At least 10 minutes before your class is due to start, go to your Virtual Studio platform and click 'Start Live Stream' to launch the Zoom meeting

Step 3. On a second device login to your owners portal on myzonemoves.com, in the drop down menu select classes and booking diary. Locate the session that you are about to start. if there are any Myzone bookings there will be a purple link which is the MZ Live Board.

Step 4. Click on the purple link or copy the link to a separate device (an example is https://moves.myzone.org/remote/?id=12345678) to launch your MZ Remote Live Board, here you will see your Myzone users Myzone Tile.

Step 5. Head back over to Zoom where you will then be able to admit participants into the class, and you can then proceed to run your live stream class as usual within Zoom - your Myzone users will see their stats live on the MZ-Remote experience, while your non-Myzone users will simply see the regular live stream.
